Lisa Tahir is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing as an intuitive psychotherapist. She is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and a Reiki Level II Practitioner. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA she still maintains one practice location and residence from there. In 2014 Lisa felt an instant energetic pull to go to Los Angeles and open a practice and take up residence. When she did that, so many beautiful things have unfolded as a result of taking action on my instincts though she felt uncertain about uprooting herself after 43 years in New Orleans. She has worked with tens of thousands of individuals assisting them on their healing journeys to find a greater sense of inner peace and life purpose. In 2015 Lisa was awarded a “Women of the Year Award” by New Orleans City Business for her book, “SURRENDER: A Psycho-Spiritual Healing Guide For Treating Depression and Anxiety.” There were 40 award recipients selected from over 400 nominations by business leaders, and she was most honored to have been chosen since the experience that fueled her book was something initially experienced as a trauma that was allowed to become a gift as she navigated her own healing from being the victim of a crime. To expand her healing scope, she started a weekly podcast in March 2016 on LA Talk Radio called, “ALL THINGS THERAPY". Lisa interviews people she admires and wants the world to know about. In 2010 she founded and opened a 501(c)3 called “The YES FOUNDATION, INC.” It is a foundation that is a Non-Profit which teaches people with disabilities in wheelchairs to cast and blow glass from a modified workbench thatI Lisa herself invented. This invention received a US Patent in March of 2016 after 6 years of work. Lisa's intention is to work with you to discover what sets your heart ablaze with inspiration. She believes that it is through creating a life of meaning and purpose, and by surrounding yourself with loving and encouraging people that you succeed.
